Cannot Get Elevation Expert GPS: A Guide to Calculating Elevations

In previous versions of ExpertGPS, users were unable to access elevation data when creating tracks or importing driving directions from other mapping sources. However, with the July 2009 release of ExpertGPS, a new tool was introduced that allows users to calculate the elevation of any location worldwide and add it to waypoints, routes, or tracks.

As an avid user of ExpertGPS, I have been searching for ways to include elevations in my exported tracking files. Unfortunately, I have hit a roadblock and cannot figure out how to do this. The software offers limited export options, but I can export tracks in KML format and import them into ExpertGPS for further use.

My ultimate goal is to create cycling routes using the Google Maps API application, which will also be used by my target application. For now, I am creating these routes within the Google Maps API application. However, I would like to find a way to include elevation data in my exported tracking files, as this information can be crucial for outdoor enthusiasts and cyclists alike.

In conclusion, while ExpertGPS has made significant improvements with its new elevation calculation tool, users are still limited by the software's export options. Further development is needed to allow users to easily access and utilize elevation data in their exported tracking files.
